Due to the ladder entry to the Fiddle Yard, all seven of the body tracks need to be shortened. The following seven articles describe the process in detail.
Now that the track is marked and I know how much to cut off, I measure that distance.
And now its time to cut the track. I use a hacksaw to do the actual cutting. Here you can see that I've started to cut the base at the mark farthest from the end that I'll slide the base off.
Time to reassemble the track. When you cut the track, you'll be left with a bit of flash
This is the glue that I use. It is for Styrene and plastic, works really well and dries pretty quickly which is a great help for projects like this. This comes in two different strengths, for something like Kato track, I like to use the stronger one which melts the plastic a bit more.
